GAGA and BALLET and PRADA combination of my dreams...

MOCA the Museum of Contemporary Art celebrated its 30th Anniversary in L.A and I really wish I could have been there, because not only were there gorgeous talented fashionable people dressed in Prada swarming the place, but Lady Gaga styled by Miuccia Prada put on a performance piece in collaboration with the Bolshoi ballet- WOWEE!!

I watched a clip of it on you tube and it was lovely: GO see it. The piano btw is a Damien Hirst customized Steinway and was auctioned off for $450,000 US. (I know!) but it’s so pretty.

CHANEL PRE FALL

Once again Chanel gave us another beautiful show in an amazing location: Shanghai this time, giving the collection a Chinese touch. There was stunning embroidery and glamour everywhere, and fantastic boots. There was even a yellow pair ;)

EDIE SEDGWICK

I have recently become madly obsessed with EDIE SEDGWICK. I know she has been a fashion icon for a while now, but i’ve only just discovered her. My obsession started with the film FACTORY GIRL, which you can actually watch on you tube, where SIENNA MILLER did a brill performance (Oscar worthy in my opinion) of Edie’s traumatised yet fashionable underground life.

Then I watched POOR LITTLE RICH GIRL, the film by Andy Warhol that made her his superstar which you can also see on you tube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n6dklG_44o8 i highly recommend you watch it. It starts off fuzzy and slow, but when you get to about the 4/5th clip it clears up and becomes more interesting.

Then, I watched also on you tube (man, I love you tube ) . Ciao, Manhattan which shows Edie after her time in NY and just before her death, really moving! GO WATCH THEM and become obsessed with her like me ;)
